Our Voice

Advocacy

At the Kerala Association of Professional Social Workers (KAPS), advocacy stands at the heart of our mission. We actively work to amplify the voices of social workers and the communities they serve, championing issues related to social justice, inclusion, and human rights.

We represent the collective voice of trained social work professionals across Kerala, pushing for systemic changes that address inequality and promote equity in all spheres of life. Through engagement with public institutions, schools, policy makers, and community networks, we advocate for policies and practices that uphold the dignity and rights of all individuals—especially the marginalized.

By aligning with bodies like the Association of Schools of Social Work in Kerala (ASSK) and supporting professionals from PROSA, Kudumbashree, NRHM, and beyond, we ensure that our advocacy is grounded, informed, and far-reaching.

KAPS is committed to being a proactive force in shaping the future of social work in Kerala. We not only advocate for the profession but also for the communities and causes that reflect the very essence of social work—compassion, justice, and transformation.
