Life
Membership

Eligibility: Individuals who have successfully completed a
regular BSW/BA(SW)/ MSW/ MA(SW) from any
UGC-approved university in India and abroad and are domiciled in Kerala are eligible.

Students who have completed their degree through a
UGC-approved Distance Learning mode must produce
a certificate of two years of relevant social work field experience, either prior to or after
completion of the program.

Options:
A. Registration Fee: Rs. 1200 + Rs. 100 for INPSWA affiliation + Rs. 200 for a two-year
subscription. Total = Rs. 1500 (Subscription to be renewed after two years from the
date of joining).
B. Registration Fee: Rs. 1200 + Rs. 100 for INPSWA affiliation + Rs. 700 for a seven-year
subscription. Total = Rs. 2000 (Subscription to be renewed after seven years from
the date of joining).
C. Registration Fee: Rs. 1200 + Rs. 100 for INPSWA affiliation + Rs. 3700 for life long
subscription. Total = Rs. 5000

Student
Membership

For students enrolled in BSW/MSW programs, a one-time
student membership fee of Rs. 200 is
applicable. Student members will receive a certificate and may participate in chapter-level events
conducted in partnership with social work departments/colleges. Upon course completion, student
members can upgrade to Life Membership by submitting their Provisional or Degree Certificate.
Institutions are requested to send the list of students (with contact numbers and email addresses)
along with the membership fees to the KAPS Registered Office.

Conversion of Student Membership to Life Membership

Registration Fee: Rs. 1000 (1200 – 200) + Rs. 100 for
INPSWA affiliation + Rs. 200 for a two-year
subscription. Total = Rs. 1300 (Subscription to be renewed after two years from the
date of joining).

Associate Membership

Eligibility: Individuals who have successfully completed a
regular or distance mode
BSW/BA(SW)/MSW/MA(SW) from any UGC-approved university in India or abroad and are not domiciled in
Kerala are eligible for Associate Membership by paying Rs. 2000. Distance mode candidates have to
produce 2 years (pre or post) experience certificate) However, Associate Members will not have
voting rights and cannot contest for official positions in KAPS. They need not pay any annual
subscription fees. They may participate in all activities of KAPS, subject to the applicable
participation fees, similar to other members.

Institutional Membership

Colleges, institutions, schools, and departments offering
Social Work training, as well as
non-governmental organizations led by professional social workers, are eligible for Institutional
Membership by paying a one-time fee of Rs. 2000. Their partnership is considered a valued asset in
advancing the vision and mission of KAPS. For formal registration procedures, please contact the
KAPS office.

Fast
Track Membership

Applicants who wish to obtain their certificate on a
priority basis may opt for the Fast Track
Channel facility by paying a fee of Rs. 6000. Under this option, the certificate will be processed
and issued within two working days from the date of receiving the application. To ensure timely
processing, applicants availing of this facility are requested to contact the KAPS Office, Kottayam,
immediately after submitting their application, either through phone or email, and provide the
necessary details for verification and follow-up.

Good
Standing Certificate

A Good Standing Certificate will be issued to eligible
members upon submission of a formal request.
The certificate serves as an official document confirming the member’s valid and active status with
KAPS. It also includes verification of the member’s credentials and professional standing as
recognized by the Association. A processing fee of Rs. 2000 is applicable for issuing this
certificate, which covers the cost of official verification and documentation. The certificate will
be processed and issued within seven working days from the date of receiving the application.

CORU
& Similar Foreign Board Verifications

CORU verification is part of the registration process in
Ireland for international health and social
care professionals to have their qualifications recognized by the CORU (Health and Social Care
Professionals Council). For this verification and document processing service, a fee of Rs. 3000 is
charged. The verification and document processing will be done within seven working days from the
date of receiving the application.
