About the 10th Social Work Congress
The Social Work Congress, organised annually by the Kerala Association of Professional Social Workers (KAPS), is a flagship gathering of practitioners, educators, researchers, and students from across the state and country. Serving as a vibrant platform for academic exchange and professional collaboration, the Congress fosters dialogue on emerging trends, innovations, and challenges in the field of social work.
The 2025 edition, held in conjunction with a National Conference, continues this legacy through academic paper presentations, expert talks, panel discussions, and thematic interactions. The event also hosts the prestigious Excellence in Social Work Awards— “Gurushreshta, Karmashreshta, and Yuvashreshta ” —recognising outstanding contributions to social work education and practice in Kerala.

Technology is redefining service delivery, research, community engagement, and professional practice. This year’s conference explores how digital tools, AI, and tech-based interventions can transform social work while addressing ethical dilemmas and emerging challenges. The discussions aim to equip practitioners and students to navigate a rapidly evolving, technology-driven society.
