EXCELLENCE IN SOCIAL WORK AWARDS 2025
Notification
The Kerala Association of Professional Social Workers (KAPS) invites nominations from District Committees for the KAPS Excellence in Social Work Awards 2025, recognizing outstanding contributions in social work education and practice across Kerala.
🏆 Award Categories
1. Gurushreshta Award – ₹10,000 + Citation
For Social Work Educators working in Kerala with more than 15 years of teaching experience.
Nominations per district: 2
2. Karmashreshta Award – ₹10,000 + Citation
For Social Work Practitioners with MSW and minimum 15 years of professional experience in Kerala.
Nominations per district: 4
3. Yuvashreshta Award – Social Work Educator – ₹5,000 + Citation
For Social Work Educators below 40 years with minimum 5 years of teaching experience (MSW, BSW, or Higher Secondary Social Work).
Nominations per district: 2
4. Yuvashreshta Award – Social Work Practitioner – ₹5,000 + Citation
For Social Work Practitioners below 40 years with minimum 5 years of experience in Kerala.
Nominations per district: 2
📋 Guidelines
- District chapters shall nominate social workers for all award categories based on merit from their respective district only.
- Nominations shall be based on applications received by the KAPS District Committee or eligible candidates identified by the District Executive Committee.
- Experience requirement: 15 years for Gurushreshta & Karmashreshta; 5 years for Yuvashreshta categories.
- KAPS membership is mandatory for all nominees.
- Nominations must be signed by the President and Secretary of the district chapter after Executive Committee approval.
- Supporting documents to prove eligibility must be attached with the nomination.
- To ensure transparency, current State Office Bearers, Governing Council Members, and District Executive Committee Members are not eligible.
- Previous awardees are not eligible for the same award.
- Last Date for Submission: 31st October 2025, 5.00 PM
